A native of Kent, United Kingdom, and scholarship pupil of the Purcell School, playing at Dartington Summer School, Lead Kent youth Orchestra, Ms. Koshka's primary violin studies began with the esteemed soloist, Ralph Holmes, Erich Gruenberg, Detlef Hahn and performing in master classes of Detlef Hahn and also performing in master classes of Igor Ozim. Composition and theory lessons with Margaret Hubicki. Conducting lessons with Vilem Tausky her mentor (performing frequently under Vilem Tausky, who conducted her quartet that she lead, repeatedly performing the operas of Mozart, The full version of the Marriage of Figaro and the Magic Flute. One solo player to a part, in festivals, with opera singers.) Advanced violin studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, (where she was awarded the Director Of Music's Prize. (Erich Hollis). Violin teachers Bella Dekany who lead the BBC Symphony Orchestra. and Erika Klemperer Back. Further years of intense study with Angel Stankov leader of Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra Bulgaria. Ms Koshka went on to perform as soloist on the Michaelstein Institut fur Kultur Germany. Further studies at the Eastman School of Music USA, (winner of George Eastman Scholarship.) Violin teachers Glenn Dicterow, leader of the New York Philharmonic. Studies in conducting Mannes College of Music New York, with Rudolf Palmer and the legendary Ukrainian solo violinist, Oleg Krysa in New York. The latter remarked of his young protégé: ''Immensely gifted, she is simply a virtuoso of the first order destined for a major international solo career.'' As a teenager, Ms Koshka embarked upon a course of international study which led to appearances in many of the major concert halls in England and abroad. This included solo recitals in London's Purcell Room and Royal Festival Hall Foyer, a two month tour of Brazil with solo appearances on Brazil's Cultural Television, recitals for British Council in Sao-Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, language schools, museums, culminating in impressive debut recitals in Sofia's Bulgaria-Salle, Cultural Endica Center Sofia and Crystal Museum Sofia Bulgaria. London's Wigmore Hall and New York's Carnegie Hall, several recital series in Columbia University New York and Weill recital Hall and frequent solo recitals in and around New York among many others, and appeared many times as soloist and leader with the American Chamber Opera Company, and as soloist with the Manhatten Center Orchestra with conductor Jeffrey Schindler and Manhattan Virtuosi, playing many performances of Stravinsky's Soldiers Tale, and other concerto's and soloist with Pernik Chamber Orchestra Bulgaria, playing Mozart's Violin Concerto's and Bach's Double Violin Concerto. She has appeared in private functions for important puja occasions in Calcutta and Shantiniketan India playing solo Bach as a musical offering for The Mother Devi Supreme Goddess. Ms Koshka spent 9 months in Paris studying the music of French composers.
Ms. Koshka appears more frequently in concert in London and throughout the United Kingdom. She has freelanced with the London Soloists Chamber Orchestra in The Barbican. Her performances have included solo recitals with accompanist Gordon Back in three major London halls: Wigmore Hall, St John's, Smith Square and the Purcell Room at the South Bank. Royal Festival Hall foyer, Handel House Museum, and regular recital series at St James's Church Piccadilly. Many performances for Hounslow Council for the Arts (May Arts Festival). Following a performance in Leighton House for London's prestigious Kensington and Chelsea Music Society, Hon. Secretary, wrote: ''[Ms. Koshka] played with exceptional maturity and appreciation of the music'' and ''[Her] recital was greatly enjoyed by an appreciative audience.''
Ms. Koshka's repertoire is rich and varied. She is a renowned Bach interpreter and is repeatedly asked to perform either the 3 Sonatas or the 3 Partitas for solo violin without accompaniment. She has performed many times the complete, Bach solo Sonatas and Partitas. Also the complete Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Bach and Handel Sonatas and the 24 Paganini solo Caprices in recital series. Moreover, she also frequently performs the well known 19th century violin concerti with orchestra and, in addition, occasionally doubles as soloist/conductor in familiar earlier music such as the Bach Brandenburg Concertos, and Vivaldi's four Seasons, and later music such as Vaughan Williams The Lark Ascending, and Stravinsky The Soldiers Tale.
Ms. Koshka's recital programmes are often flavoured with illuminating readings of contemporary music. Following numerous solo engagements with his ensembles, the composer and conductor of the American Chamber Opera Company Douglas Anderson wrote: ''Possessing a powerful technique, a keen sense of pitch and a warm glowing sound, Ms. Koshka is an exciting musical presence.'' Also, unlike many of her peers, Ms. Koshka eschews the traditional showpieces and prefers to present live improvisation encores.
